Documenting Requirements for Forecasting System Enhancements

Revenue Management has great significance for airlines, hotels and travel providers. VIA Software assisted a client over several years in developing a forecasting system, a central component of revenue management operations. Responsibilities included managing requests regarding the capture, processing and prioritisation of bugs and enhancements, providing user support, developing UI enhancement proposals based on user feedback, coordinating forecaster enhancements between users and the software vendor, and performing quality assurance checks for bug fixes and changes. VIA Software also designed visualization tools for the forecasting system data to support analysis of unusual forecast patterns.
